There is something to be said about state of mind and I have occasionally being it little too negative but I prefer to think of it as realistic?

No matter how you spin it, no matter how many smiley faces you put on it, the world today is anything but “happy, happy, happy, happy, ad nauseam.” Sometimes, John, you just have to call a spade a spade and see reality … if the people wearing the rosy-coloured glasses want to call you a nihilist or a skeptic, that only shows their own ignorance. Many years ago, I was often called a cockeyed optimist, or a Pollyanna, but for the past … oh, let’s say 7-8 years … that has changed and now I am very much a realist who “calls ’em like I sees ’em”. Still, the smiley faces were fun for just a moment, until I remembered 16 mass shootings over the holiday, numerous Supreme Court rulings taking away the rights of some 73% of the people in the U.S., the climate crisis, etc., etc., etc. …
